Join us on our journey to self sufficiency off grid in remote Alaska!
We are working daily to be as self-sufficient as possible.
This includes minimizing our groceries by growing, raising, foraging, hunting our own food and preserving it so it provides for us all year long.
We do not have any utilities. All water, electricity, heat, and waste disposal are provided and dealt with by us.
We utilize as much from the forest as possible. Anything from berry picking to milling lumber to build our structures.
Most of our skills fall outside of what we are currently doing.
Lori previously worked as a CAD Designer, and Cody was a Network & Server Analyst before we left everything behind to live remotely off grid in Alaska.
We compensate by being good at dealing with problems as they arise with grit and determination.
We are learning every day and learn from our mistakes so we can pass on our experience to our newest family member.
